Where the Water Felt Like Grass
There was something undeniably peaceful about this day. The lake was still like glass, the air felt quiet and steady, and everything moved at a slower, more intentional pace. Their wedding felt soft and emotional in the most beautiful way, and it was an honor to document such a magical celebration.
A Love Rooted in Safety and Joy
Their ceremony took place in Emerald Bay, facing the Fannette island, surrounded by calm water and towering mountains. It was small and intimate, with only their closest people present, which made every moment feel deeply personal. From the beginning of the day, emotion lived at the surface. There were tears during quiet conversations, during the ceremony, and even in the in between moments when they simply looked at one another.
They met through work and spent three years engaged, building a life rooted in trust, laughter, and a sense of safety together. They described their relationship as fun, happy, and steady, and that feeling carried through the entire day. The groom was completely smitten with his bride, the kind of love that shows up in lingering glances and soft smiles that never fade. Every time he looked at her, it felt as though the rest of the world quietly disappeared.
Their color palette of green and red with touches of black and white brought warmth and richness to the day. Thoughtful details were woven throughout, including cozy favors of scarves and gloves for guests in case the air turned cold. Their children, now young adults, stood beside them as bridesmaids and groomsmen, adding another layer of meaning and love to the celebration. It was a family centered day in the truest sense.
After the ceremony, the boat gently moved across the lake as laughter and conversation filled the space. Travel and exploration have always been something they love doing together, and it felt fitting that they would begin this next chapter surrounded by water and sky. Not long after, they set off on their honeymoon in Tahiti, carrying with them the same sense of wonder, connection, and joy that filled their wedding day.
When asked what they hoped their wedding would feel like, their answer was magical. It truly was.
The In Between Moments That Said Everything
The most meaningful photographs are often born from presence rather than perfection. This day was a beautiful reflection of that truth. It was honest, emotional, and rooted in connection. Nothing felt rushed or staged. Everything unfolded naturally, and that is where the beauty quietly lived.
A Glimpse Into Their Day

With Gratitude
J & T, photographing this day was an honor. The wedding was full of love, tenderness, and quiet joy, and being trusted to capture it meant more than words can say. Celebrations like this are a reminder of why storytelling through photographs matter so deeply.
